Athra Al Zaabi is the Executive Director of Secondaries at Abu Dhabi Investment Council (ADIC). In her role, Athra is responsible for leading ADIC’s strategy and portfolio allocation to secondary private investments. Since joining ADIC at its inception in 2007, she has played a key role in building and managing global investment portfolios across private equity strategies.

Athra brings extensive leadership experience, having previously served as Executive Director of Private Equity and Head of North America, where she oversaw a multi-billion-dollar portfolio and led end-to-end investment activities, including sourcing, execution and portfolio management.

She has also held board and governance roles, including serving on the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Investment Company (Invest AD), where she chaired the Remuneration Committee and on the board of National Takaful Company.

Athra holds a Bachelor’s degree with Honors in Business Sciences from Zayed University and is a CFA Charter holder.
