UAE National - IT Project Manager - Information Technology Division
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Plans and executes IT projects as per Council requirements and internal processes and procedures and within agreed limits of time, costs and quality standards. Leads and manages the whole cycle of the project competently and with little to no supervision from start to finish.
- Articulates and negotiates consensus on final vision of the product and/or the core project goals from scoping the requirements of all stakeholders, not forgetting the end-user.
- Defines acceptance criteria for project deliverables and works towards achieving stakeholder acceptance of deliverables.
- Identifies the need for resources and takes on team management responsibilities in relation to the resources available to the project.
- Understands relevant methodologies, processes and standards and ensures that all project team members understand and follow these too.
- Prioritizes tasks and recognizes the difference between urgent and important tasks and monitors own progress; checks quality and accuracy of own work before submitting for approval or further processing.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change.
Candidate Profile
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or IT.
- PMP certification is a must.
- 5- 10 years of IT Project Management experience in implementing ERP solutions, IT infrastructure projects and financial/investment management systems.
- Work experience within the financial services industry and good knowledge of investment management terminology is a big plus.
- Sound knowledge of server, client and network operating systems.
- Sound knowledge of protocol analysers and remote monitoring tools.
- Good understanding of operating systems, security policy and system administration concepts.
- Sound knowledge in the use of chargeback and troubleshooting tools, inter-networking concepts, network topologies and communication protocols.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure coupled with high detail orientation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English (spoken and written).
- Strong leadership skills as project teams may range in size from 2 to 12 members.
